Reading All Steel Percussion Orchestra will tour London boroughs for Showtime to welcome and entertain visitors and residents during the Games.
From 21 June - 9 September 2012, artists from all over the world will come together in celebration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Showtime, presented by the Mayor of London, is a festival of free outdoor arts events with a feast of amazing performances in every London borough. Reading's award winning orchestra will tour seven of London's 33 boroughs with a new show entitled 'TASPO to RASPO' celebrating the journey of steel pan music culture in the UK
Showtime is part of the London 2012 Festival - the finale to the Cultural Olympiad which was set up in 2008 to feature UK programmes and projects inspired by London 2012. The London 2012 Festival will be the biggest festival the UK has ever seen.

More than eight million tickets have been made available for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games to be held in London from 27 July to 12 August 2012, followed by the 2012 Paralympic Games from 29 August to 9 September.
17,000 athletes will represent 205 countries in 26 different sports at 300 events. 147 nations will take part in the Paralympic Games.
A total cast of 15,000 will take part in the Olympic and Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies watched by an estimated audience of four billion.
